ALERT!!! SOME SPOILERS!!!
Shatter Me was one of the first trilogies I've ever read including Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Funny how their married and I read both of their books, good books too. Sadly, I preferred Taherah's book more, not being sexist since the protagonist is a girl in her book, I just liked the story more.
The story begins with Shatter Me the first book. Juliet a teen with a lethal touch, whoever she touches dies. Then she meets Adam, a teenage boy around her age who surprisingly is not affected by her touch. Obviously, they grow to like each other, which then builds up to love, but what if she was taken away by the son of the man that in away is the "dictator" of their world. This son is named Warner, who I must say is very hot cause my imagination has built him into the perfect dream boy. Well, this then leads us to the second book which Unravel Me, where Juliet is seeking her revenge on Warner, who can also touch her without dying, and his father who tortured her in ways that people couldn't imagine possible. In Unravel Me, we can find Juliet and WARNER's relationship develop. Yes. Not Adam cause Adam is not as great, plus Warner is more man, which instantly makes him hotter. Then we move on to Ignite Me, which is my favorite because its the last book. Here, we will see more Juliet and Warner, including the plan on defeating Warner's father. If I didn't spoil enough then go and read this book because it's so dang good.
Now let me tell you my story with this series, it's pretty sad. My brother being cheap thought of buying me and my sisters books for Christmas, during this time I was addicted to kiddie almanacs and world record books, so he bought me a Guinness World's Records book. I was beyond happy. Then he bought my sisters a Mockingjay book and Unravel Me. Yes, Unravel Me the second book to the Shatter Me series. Well, my interest in books actually began that December, so I first picked up Princess Diaries and was able to finish it, and yes it was long. After that, I was back in school, so I began reading Unravel Me. I was confused at first until a friend of mine told me this was the second book, I immediately thought how stupid my brother was, but I still read it. I loved it. By February, which is my birthday month, a friend of mine bought me Ignite Me, and I was so freaking happy. I finished it as fast as I could even though I had school, and the ending just made me really happy, but I hoped for a ending that just makes me feel like its all over. You'll understand when you finish it. Question is, did I ever bought Shatter Me? Of course! I bought it in a Book Fair, so I got it 20% off I really thought I wastedmy money because this book fair comes out yearly, so I'd have to wait for a whole year to buy sale books again. Unless the bookstore goes on sale, but I only buy sales books if I was lucky because my bookstores always have their sales out of nowhere.
Sorry if my review was pretty short, its been about two years since I last read this series, I'm willing to read it again but I still have so much that I need to finish. Also my TBR is pretty full, hopefully I could finish it all by this year, so that my TBR could be really clean and free of books that I've been planning to read years ago. Well, night guys! Didn't have enough time in my life since there was so much school work for the past two weeks. Hope you guys are reading some good books, and please recommend because we all know TBR shelves are never-ending.
Books that I have mentioned.
